🙂 Your account

Who can join Dostbox?

Anyone aged 18 and above. Dostbox is for adults only: sign-up is refused if your date of birth shows you are under 18.

How do you check age?

Your date of birth and a declaration at sign-up, then your ID or college card when you get the Verified badge. Members can report an account that seems to belong to someone under 18; it is reviewed within an hour and closed if so.

Can I use a nickname?

Yes. Nickname Mode lets you join groups under a nickname and reveal your name later.

Who can see where I live?

Others see your city and neighbourhood only, never your exact location. Live location is shared only during a plan, only with the trusted contacts you choose.

How do I delete my account?

In the app, go to Me › Settings › Delete account. It is deleted at once. Partners can ask on the account deletion page.

🛡️ Plans and safety

How do I join a plan?

Open a plan and tap to RSVP. When it is full you join the waitlist. Joining plans is free on every package; any cost shown is paid at the venue or to the partner.

What is Free Tonight?

A switch that shows people nearby you are up for a plan in the next three hours, and shows you who else is. Make a plan from it in 30 seconds.

What is in the Safe Meet kit?

A public-venue prompt, live location with up to three trusted contacts, check-in and check-out, an SOS button and a safety check after the plan.

How do I report someone?

Use Report on any profile, message, group or plan, or block them. Safety reports reach a human reviewer, with a target of one hour.

What is the reliability score?

It grows when you show up and get good feedback. Repeated no-shows lower your visibility, so plans stay reliable for everyone.

What is Duo Mode?

An optional, separate switch for verified members on Ultra Premium who want to meet someone one to one. It has its own deck and prompts, so your friendship card stays as it is. Switch it off and you disappear from it at once.

💳 Packages and payments

Do I have to pay?

No. Sign-up, your profile, finding friends, joining groups and joining plans are free on every package.

What do paid packages add?

More Dost Deck cards a day, more groups and plans you can host, bigger plans, advanced filters, no ads and partner deals. Ultra Premium adds Duo Mode for one-to-one meetups.

How much do packages cost?

Standard ₹99, Premium ₹249 and Ultra Premium ₹499 a month, prices including GST (to confirm). A year costs ten months' price. Premium has a 7-day free trial, once.

Can I cancel or get a refund?

Monthly packages cancel any time. For yearly packages, unused full months are refunded if you cancel within 14 days. If a payment fails, your account stays on Free.

Who bills me?

Packages are paid through Razorpay and billed by STARTIONS LLP with a GST invoice.

🏪 Partners

Who can be a partner?

Event companies, ticket sellers, camping and picnic providers, villa owners, gaming alleys, private screening hosts, adventure operators, cafes, and mentors selling courses and workshops.

How do bookings and payments work?

Members book alone or as a group and can split the cost. They pay you directly through your own payment gateway: Dostbox never holds the money and takes 0% commission today.

What does the review before going live check?

KYC (PAN or GST), venue photos for villas and screening rooms, and a licence or safety certificate with a safety checklist for trekking, kayaking, rafting and camping.

Who handles refunds of bookings?

The partner, under the refund policy shown on their listing.
